Junior Pathway

Where Tennis Begins
Junior Development for Ages 3-16

What we offer

Our Junior Development Pathway helps young athletes grow physically, socially, and cognitively through age-appropriate tennis training.

Our junior program is built to develop well-rounded athletes through three core pillars: athletic and physical development, social and emotional growth. Players learn coordination, movement, and all foundational tennis fundamentals — grips, swing paths, footwork patterns, serving mechanics, and rally skills — while also building teamwork, confidence, and healthy competitive attitudes in a fun, encouraging environment. As they grow, we challenge them to think for themselves — making shot decisions, solving problems on court, and learning the “why” behind each skill. This approach helps kids progress naturally through red, orange, green, and yellow ball stages while fostering a lifelong love for tennis and physical activity.

Tiny Tennis

Age 3-5

A playful parent-and-toddler class that introduces movement, coordination, and early racquet skills in a fun, guided environment.

Tiny Tennis is our introductory class designed for toddlers and parents to learn and play together. Using age-appropriate equipment, fun movement games, and simple racquet activities, children build early motor skills such as balance, tracking, hand-eye coordination, and body awareness. Parents participate alongside their child to help with engagement, confidence, and shared learning — making it a great bonding activity and a gentle introduction to tennis. Tiny Tennis focuses on joy, exploration, and positive early experiences on court, preparing little athletes for Red Ball play when they’re ready.

Red Ball Tennis

Ages 7 and under

A fun introduction to tennis focused on movement, coordination, and play-based learning.

Red Ball tennis is the first players only step in our Junior Pathway, designed for young beginners who are just entering the sport. Players develop hand-eye coordination, balance, basic racquet skills, and early rally understanding using smaller courts and softer balls for easier success. Sessions are game-based, energetic, and confidence-building — helping kids enjoy tennis while learning listening skills, teamwork, and body control. Red Ball lays the foundation for athletic movement and a lifelong love for the sport.

Orange Ball Tennis

Ages 9 and under

Building fundamentals through rallying, footwork patterns, and growing match awareness.

Orange Ball players continue developing fundamentals with more structure and intention. Using mid-size courts and moderate-bounce balls, kids learn grips, swing paths, footwork patterns, serving skills, and point construction. We introduce scoring, basic match play, and sportsmanship to grow confidence in real play. Players learn to problem-solve on their own, communicate with peers, and practice emotional regulation — critical skills for both tennis and everyday life. The goal is to create confident young players ready for full-court development.

Green Ball Tennis

Ages 11 and under

Full court training focused on technique, patterns, and growing competitive ability.

Green Ball tennis transitions athletes toward full-court play with emphasis on technical refinement, rally consistency, and tactical awareness. Players develop serve mechanics, spin/control, directional hitting, approach skills, and point patterns. We encourage decision-making, accountability, and match experience through structured drills and live play. This stage strengthens physical development and cognitive understanding — helping players read the court, solve problems, and compete with purpose as they prepare for Yellow Ball play.

Teen Beginner Classes

18 and under recreational

Yellow ball classes for new or developing players learning full-court fundamentals.

Beginner Yellow Ball is ideal for older beginners or players entering tennis later who are learning the fundamentals on a full court. Training focuses on proper technique, footwork, consistent rallying, serving, point structure, and movement coordination. Players improve shot quality, rhythm, and ball control while building confidence in scoring and gameplay. This stage balances skill development with fun, social play — perfect for athletes growing into the sport without pressure or competition.

Varsity

18 and under competitive

For developing Yellow Ball players preparing for competition, varsity teams, and advanced training.

Varsity Prep bridges the gap between development classes and High Performance. Players train with more intensity, learning advanced stroke mechanics, point construction, serve + return strategy, and competitive habits. Sessions include fitness, live ball drilling, and regular match scenarios to prepare athletes for school tennis, tournaments, and performance-based progression. This stage builds discipline, resilience, and confidence — helping players earn opportunities and potentially qualify for High Performance.
